Batteries, chargers and nozzles: keeping a spray drone flying
Updated 11 October 2026
How many batteries?
A spray flight lasts about 7 to 10 minutes at full load. With a fast charger, three batteries per drone allow continuous work: one flying, one charging, one cooling.
Charger sizing
The DJI C10000 delivers up to 9,000 W and refills a DB1560 in about 9 to 12 minutes from three phase power or a suitable generator. Undersized chargers are the most common bottleneck in the field.
Battery care
Store at around 50 to 60% charge, keep batteries out of direct sun after flights, and watch the cycle count in the app. Lithium flight batteries are dangerous goods: transport them in the original case.
Centrifugal nozzles
Centrifugal (atomising) nozzles set droplet size by disc speed. Replace discs when worn, and motors when flow becomes uneven. On the Agras T50 the four nozzle kit raises flow from 16 to 24 L/min.
